Dan Charles, thanks for your time today. What does Arnold Schwarzenegger mean to you? A long-term role model of mine ever since I was a little kid watching Terminator 2 before I was allowed to. He has been a great character throughout my life. His belief that you can always be better has inspired me. How did you go from music production to events marketing? I loved music as a kid and got into audio engineering and electronic music production. I started running small events to showcase unknown artists and eventually scaled to 3,000-person events. What should listeners understand about being in the studio? You must leave ego at the door and collaborate. Great things happen when creativity meets humility. Modern concerts have flipped the revenue model. Music is free; events and merch drive revenue. I transitioned fully into marketing because I needed predictable outcomes. Marketing and sales are not separate β great marketing makes sales easier. AI is a force multiplier. It improves efficiency but doesnβt replace strategic thinking. The events industry is growing rapidly, driven by experience-seeking audiences like Gen Z. Mountain biking gives me clarity. Sometimes you need to brake; sometimes you coast. Model painting teaches patience, layering, and that good is often better than perfect. Fatherhood pushed me into entrepreneurship. My daughter was my biggest motivator. Discipline builds resilience. Motivation fades, but consistency compounds. Success is freedom β attending school plays, choosing time with family, enjoying life. Gratitude journaling helps me reset perspective and recognize growth. You can connect with me on LinkedIn or visit codarity.com for resources.
